The Project That Started It All
SYNC was the university project that started my development journey. Inspired by Psychology and Linguistics, building it introduced me to coding, website design, frontend and backend concepts, databases and application functionality. As the product evolved, I explored AI integration, conversational interfaces and voice technologies. That hands-on learning became the foundation for further independent projects and my freelance work. SYNC was where I started. Development is where it took me.
Overview
SYNC is a psychology-informed relationship and social connection platform designed to move beyond surface-level attraction, combining self-discovery, compatibility insights, meaningful conversations and real-world experiences. As my first project bringing together my academic background in Psychology and Linguistics with technology, UI/UX design and AI, SYNC asks a simple question: what if a platform helped people understand themselves before asking them to understand someone else?
The problem
Modern dating platforms make meeting people easier — understanding compatibility remains much harder. Profiles emphasise appearance and brief bios, shared interests say little about conflict management or attachment, initial conversations collapse into repetitive small talk, and online matching rarely connects to real-world interaction. Users may enter relationships without ever having reflected on their communication habits, emotional needs or recurring patterns.
The solution
A more intentional approach to connection, informed by psychology. Structured assessments explore personality, attachment, communication, conflict style, love languages, emotional regulation and relationship readiness. These results form a personal SYNC profile, while SYNC Radar introduces potential connections through compatibility comparisons explained in writing — not just numbers. Messaging, conversation cards, events and interactive sessions then carry discovery into genuine communication. Connection should begin with understanding, not just attraction.
